Sunny Garden Lodge is the home of Noldan and his family, on the Maderas side of the island. There are two rooms with private bathrooms and handmade furniture, a porch, and a garden with fruit trees. Rooms have fans rather than air conditioning, and there is no hot water. Breakfast is included.

Noldan was the kindest host we have ever had, from the second we got there he was absolutely incredible. He couldn't have done any more if he tried - he cut the branches off some trees that were making a little noise on our roof (without being asked), he swapped our warm beers & seltzers for some cold ones free of charge (again without being asked), his children gave us welcome gifts (they were absolutely adorable). He provided us with plenty of information on tours, cut us fruit from his trees and was just overall an amazing guy. He also would let us go into his shop after hours for more drinks or food, which was great! And always had a smile. He also remembered our names from the second we arrived, which was lovely. The food was amazing too and very reasonably priced. I can't recommend this place enough. Noldan even offered to take us to show us what he had been working on with his land, unfortunately we didn't have time. We would love to visit again! Also great location!!
